Sandy Riesgraf, Fox 13 News Reporter, is from Carver, Minnesota. She earned a B.S. degree in Journalism from St. Cloud State University.
Sandy's first job in television was with St. Cloud Cable Vision. She has also worked at KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a weekend anchor, 5 PM anchor and an investigative reporter.
Sandy is the recipient of the George Foster Peabody Award, the Edward R. Murrow Award, a Utah Broadcaster's Association UBEE award, 15 Society of Professional Journalist Awards, and 13 Iowa Broadcast News Awards.
Aside from winning a Peabody, Sandy's favorite career highlights include covering the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
Sandy enjoys the beauty of Utah's mountains and the mild climate here (at least compared to Minnesota's!) She enjoys attending her local church and loves the sports, music and arts entertainment in Utah.
In her free time, Sandy enjoys working out, cooking, entertaining friends, traveling and shopping. Sandy also enjoys "anything on the water it's the 'Minnesota, Land of 10,000 Lakes' in me."
