World-renowned rock legend Paul McCartney performed Tuesday night to a sold out crowd at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy. It was McCartney's first concert in Utah and fans who lined up early got a real treat. The musician showed up for a sound check, rolled down the window of the SUV he was in and waved and said hello. His fans were excited to see him.

"I've been in love with him since I was 12 and I'm 58--I don't get to see him with the beatles," said one of the fans at the concert.

With 24,000 seats filled, this was the largest crowd ever at Rio Tinto Stadium.

The concert alone brought in around $1.5 million to the local economy.
