WEST HAVEN, Utah -
A 6-year-old boy, in his father's stead, accepted the Silver Star for the bravery displayed in the Afganistan war. Lt. Jonathan Brostrum died protecting his outpost while in action. And Jason Brostrum, his son, not yet out of kindergarden, stood in front of the whole school with his mom and and a military general to accept the award. "He may have saved the entire unit from annihilation, his leadership early in this conflict." said Gen. Tarbott reflecting on Brostrum's actions during the conflict.
