OREM, Utah - An Orem man is shot and killed Sunday afternoon in his home shared with his elderly mother who was home at the time. 51-year-old, Marvin Sidwell was shot to death by his brother-in-law, 54-year-old, Stephen Strate after words were exchanged between them. Strate allegedly shot Sidwell more than once, calmly called 911 and waited for the police to come.

Police took Strate into custody without incident and found the suspected murder weapon on the front porch. Strate is now in jail charged with murder.
