Alleged Land Auction Saboteur in Court
SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah student who is accused of tainting a Utah land auction bid by the Bureau of Land Managment (BLM), was in court Wednesday. Tim Dechristopher was indicted for two felony counts. One count was for a violation of Federal Onshore Oil and Gas Leasing Reform Act. While the second, was for knowingingly making false and fraudelent statements by signing up for a bidder in the land auction. Dechristopher admitted to not having the money and said he wanted to save the land from oil and gas exploration.
