SALT LAKE CITY - Three best selling social media authors were in Utah to speak at the Women Social Media Summit Tuesday. "We live in a world where we're all intrinsically connected and I believe that that fundamentally changes the marketing communications game," said President of Twist Image Mitch Joel and author of 'Six Pixels of Separation'.

Salt Lake local, Heather Armstrong runs the most popular personal blog on the internet, 'Dooce', earning an estimated $40,000 a month and most recently starting an online community where Armstrong's readers can interact.

Joel, Julien Smith and Chris Boran are all experts on social media visiting Salt Lake City with the Women Tech Counsel for its first social media summit. The men hope to spark ideas and help women make social media sites like Twitter and Facebook work for them.

"As you sit and listen to them and their stories, you can find application not only for your business, but even as I was sitting there listening, those are even great lessons for your personal life that will make a difference," said Co-founder of Women Tech Counsel, Cyndi Tetro.
