An organization called 'Shejump' is giving free training to become seasoned skiers to a few participants from the Boys and Girls Club. "First, I said I'd rather die than ski. Felt like I couldn't do it and now since I know, I'm pretty excited," first time skier, Jorge Hernandez said. It's the second time the non-profit organization has offered the ski camp.

"It's all about taking an initial jump, that's why we call it she jumps. To get yourself outside of that comfort zone to try and reach your potential," Claire Smallwood said. The kids learn the fundamentals from volunteers with years of professional skiing experience. "For these kids to even go down this run today, we're going to try to help them realize how they can relate that to their life and challenges," Smallwood said.
