DAVIS COUNTY—
Another week brings another round of H1N1 vaccinations for people around the state. In Davis County they are lining up to get their hands on the 6,000 vaccines available there. Instead of mass vaccinations, Utah's health department is instead offering tickets for guaranteed vaccinations. However, there is limited space and reservations are only for the most at risk groups. At the University of Utah student health center they've seen almost 200 students with probable H1N1 in just the past week. Nurses there say they are significantly busier than usual, with about 900 students showing up with H1N1 symptoms in the past month. Health care workers say healthy people 24 years old and younger are among the highest risk groups. They encourage anyone with H1N1 to stay out of classes until their fever has been resolved for at least 24 hours.
