SALT LAKE CITY -
Police across Salt Lake County continue to see an increased number of burglaries, theft and fraud cases. Detectives in Cottonwood Heights are asking for help to catch the latest scamming suspects. A couple is caught on a camera at a 7-11 purchasing over $90 worth of drinks, smokes and snacks with a stolen credit card.
"It just keeps moving on and on, the fraud that goes with the ID theft, it just proliferates," Officer Beau Babka said. The card was used several times before the owner could cancel the card.
"With your help, we've caught them in the past and we hope to catch them again," Babka said.
FOX 13's Scott McKane reports.
