SALT LAKE CITY -
More than 120 DUI arrests and zero alcohol-related fatal car wrecks were reported Halloween weekend. The Utah Highway Patrol said those numbers proved the success of their Halloween DUI Blitz.
250 UHP Troopers were on the road on the look out for impaired drivers, from Logan to St. George and across Wendover to Vernal. About 1,792 vehicles were stopped, resulting in 124 DUI related arrests during the Friday and Saturday night saturation effort. UHP officials said the blitz made a huge difference in safety on the roads and no alcohol-related car crashes in Salt Lake County Saturday night.
