Face masks are now sold out in Utah everywhere from Utah County, Midvale, and to Salt Lake County, as people in the state fear a possible swine flu outbreak. There are currently no reported cases of the swine flu in Utah, but 40 cases of the outbreak reported in five states, including California, Texas, Colorado, Ohio, and New York, have caused many people to worry. The Center for Disease Control said the masks are irrelevant. They said focusing on personal hygiene by washing hands and using hand sanitizer are the best ways to prepare for and to potentially combat the swine flu.
