WEST VALLEY CITY -
Family and friends of a missing West Valley City woman, Susan Powell, want to keep her story in the media spotlight. They will kick off a week of service to honor a favorite pastime of Powell's on Monday. "She was always making baby blankets. She was always making homemade gifts and items for other people," JoVonna Owings said.
The public is being asked to donate handmade items to women's and children's charities in Susan's name. Several craft shops in the area will distribute flyers with every purchase. "We try to come up with ideas to keep Susan's name in the news. We want to keep her picture and her name in the forefront of people's minds," Kiirsi Hellewell said.
