FARR WEST, Utah -
Authorities are investigating the attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl from Farr West in Weber County. The girl said that at around 7:00 a.m. Thursday a man jumped from behind a van and tried to grab her while she was walking alone to her bus stop at 1975 North and 2850 West. The girl, who is a student at nearby Wahlquist Junior High, immediately ran from the suspect.
According to Weber County Sheriff's Capt. Klint Anderson no van or suspect was spotted as of Thursday and they are hoping to find anyone who may have more information about the incident or has seen anyone that matches the suspect's description.
The girl described the man as a white male in his early 30's, driving a light-colored minivan or sport utility vehicle. He was wearing blue jeans and light-colored shoes.
