SALT LAKE CITY - Utahns went to the Capitol to see the heart gallery filled with pictures of children who would love to find a family and home. Utah photographers volunteered their time to capture the children and their personality to put on display. Photographer Ted York said, "I can't express the feeling I got when they told me it was my photograph that caught their attention and led to the adoption of those kids and that's why I do it."

Portraits of the children helped Peter and Sara Cook decide to adopt 17-year-old Brittany. "I've been in foster care since I was eight. Every child deserves a family, no matter how many mistakes they make or anything like that. Everyone deserves a family to call their own," said Brittany.
