CACHE COUNTY, Utah - A Cache County house was leveled and two people were injured in a pair of explosions Thursday morning. It happened just before 10:00 a.m. in College Ward, a small town located five miles south of Logan. Both of the home's occupants, a brother and sister, were inside at the time of the first explosion. Anthony Sorenson, 27, was flown to the University Medical Center in Salt Lake City with critical injuries. About 65 percent of his body was burned and he is expected to survive. His sister, Mary, suffered less serious injuries and was taken to Cache County Medical.

Ted Ricks, who lives near the home, called into FOX 13 News to talk about what he saw when the house exploded.

"There is absolutely nothing left," said Ricks.

Two neighbors heard Anthony cry for help in the rubble and pulled him out before the second explosion. The first explosion completely leveled the home, while the second occurred a few minutes later.

Police and fire crews are still investigating the exact cause of the explosions, but several reports say they were most likely caused by a propane related leak. A strange odor was also reported before the explosions.

Ricks said he and other neighbors in the area could feel the explosion. Police and fire crews said bricks, window pieces and other parts to the house are scattered all over the property and in fields adjacent to the home.
