CASTLE DALE, Utah - A man and a woman were murdered in Castle Dale Wednesday morning and police have deceased couple's son in custody. Emery County Sheriff's Deputies say 51-year old William Sharp and 54-year-old Charmaine Sharp were gunned down in their own home by their oldest son. Dispatch first got a 911 call from a child in the Sharp family home. Investigators say the couple was gunned down by 26-year-old Peter Sharp. There were four other siblings in the house at the time. The Sheriff says a teenage brother and sister wrestled the shot gun away from their older brother and chased him off.

Resident, Clifford Price calls the teens heros. "I think they saved themselves and their other siblings. If they hadn't taken the gun away from him who knows what he would have done," said Price.

Sheriff Lamar Guymon says the parents were killed with a shotgun. One was shot in the kitchen and the other in the back room.

Peter Sharp was later found walking in downtown Castle Dale before being taken into custody.
