WEST JORDAN, Utah - West Jordan Police arrested a man early Friday morning who is the prime suspect in three armed OxyContin robberies. The man's alleged partner in crime is dead. Police said the men robbed two pharmacies on the same day on Thursday last week and also robbed a West Jordan Albertson's the following day. Gardner Westgate, 21, was booked into jail about 4:30 a.m. on Friday morning after he surrendered to South Salt Lake Police and confessed to three robberies.

After robbing the pharmacies, Westgate said his 19-year-old accomplice overdosed on OxyContin and died Friday morning, Sept. 11. Later that night, Westgate admitted he then robbed the Albertson's pharmacy in West Jordan.
