COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah - Cottonwood Heights Police and the FBI are hoping Utahns can bring forward information on an armed bank robber who is still on the run. The suspect, Alejandro Torres, is one of two men indicted for the take-over style bank job. Police say Torres is an ex-con and gang member whose street name is "Casper." Agents said Torres and Jose Miguel Almarez held up the Mountain America Credit Union at gunpoint, then fled the scene in a silver jaguar.

Later that day, someone spotted two men in a silver jaguar tossing items in the dumpster of a Murray apartment complex. Police later arrested Almarez while recovering two handguns and a large amount of cash.

Police say Torres has remained elusive and they are confident he is in Utah, because that is where all of Torres' family and gang ties lie, especially in the West Valley City area. Police have received a couple tips so far but nothing solid, and they need the help of viewers.

If you have seen Alejandro Torres or know where he is, call Cottonwood Heights Police at (801) 840-4000 or the FBI at 579-1400.
