SALT LAKE CITY—
Residents in the Avenues woke up to find their vehicle windows smashed Sunday morning. Police said that nearly 50 vehicles were vandalized, starting from the top of B Street, down to 3rd Avenue, continuing on through to Memory Grove. Detectives have a little information regarding the suspects, but no solid information and are hoping to receive more tips from residents."Some people thinking about what they heard or seen that night last at night early Sunday morning, something they remember. That would be to us significant," said Salt Lake City Det. Dennis McGowan.
Detectives are unsure what exactly caused the damage. They say possibly a sling shot or maybe a high-powered pellet gun.
Police say suspects may have been driving a red Nissan Maxima. Salt Lake Police ask anyone to call if they have tips or information that may help them solve these crimes: (801) 799-3000.
