A private memorial was held Saturday for famed Utah artist, V. Douglas Snow who was killed in a car accident three weeks ago. Snow, 82, traveled al over the country but always returned to Utah where he found most of his inspiration in the landscape. The curator of the University of Utah's Museum of Fine Arts, Donna Poulton said, "He was a teacher. He was an example to artists. He believe that his art should be anchored I something and that anchor for him was Southern Utah. The Red Rock of Utah."

A public memorial V. Douglas Snow will be held November 21 at the Salt Lake Main Library at 10:00 a.m.
