PRICE, Utah (AP) -
A task force looking at what to do with the College of Eastern Utah says that among all the possibilities, the best option is to make it a comprehensive college within the Utah State University system. Utah Board of Regents member David Jordan says the task force also looked at whether to eliminate the central Utah school completely, keep it as is or make it a Utah State University Price campus.
Jordan said Monday in Price that making CEU a college within the USU system is best for the school and its community with a goal in mind of preserving and expanding the educational opportunities at the college.
The task force will present its findings to the Board of Regents on Friday.
Jordan says CEU has faced declining enrollment, high instructional costs and declining revenues.
