Mitt Romney is not talking about 2012, but if he's going to be "the man" he has to begin by overcoming the criticism from last time. Is he the Massachusetts moderate or the conservative standard bearer?
If his book is any indication, Romney is trying to be a problem-solver, looking at financial problems most specifically and prescribing action: "I agree with many across this country that government has gone way way way too far, and that rather than protecting the free enterprise system and individual freedom, it is smothering the free enterprise system and the innovative pioneering system that is America."
Ann Romney gave a rare glimpse into the conversations and concerns among campaign spouses, speaking about Elizabeth Edwards she said the two have talked since the Edwards' marriage broke up: "[She's] battling something that no woman should have to go through in such a public humiliating way...I think she's going through her private battles and I think she's doing it with dignity."
