SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah - An overnight standoff in Saratoga Springs ends with the suspect taking his own life. It started around 9 o'clock Monday night. Officers received a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute between a husband and wife at this home on Amanda Lane. When they arrived on scene, the woman and her two children had left the home and police say the male suspect had locked himself inside. Negotiators attempted to contact the man for hours with no luck. Shortly after midnight, officers entered the home and found the man deceased in the basement with a self inflicted gunshot wound. His name has not been released.
