Salt Lake Police and Fire Dispatchers Recognized at Telecom Open House
SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Police Department celebrated National Public Safety Telecommunications Week with an open house. Salt Lake City's 43 dispatchers answered nearly 670,000 calls last year. Police say those dispatchers are an integral part of the police and fire departments' first response capability. Fox 13's Kirk Yuhnke went on a tour and got a glimpse of what these dispatchers do on a daily basis.
