FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -
TCU's lofty rankings are finally paying off at the box office. The fourth-ranked Horned Frogs have secured their first sellout since 2006 for Saturday's game against No. 16 Utah. The last sellout at 44,358-seat Amon Carter Stadium came against Big 12 foe Texas Tech.
TCU (9-0, 5-0 Mountain West) climbed to fourth Sunday in the latest Bowl Championship Series standings. It's the highest-ever ranking for a team from a conference without an automatic bid to the big-money bowls.
Utah (8-1, 5-0) is the biggest remaining hurdle in TCU's pursuit of an undefeated season and possible BCS bid. The last two opponents are Wyoming (4-5) and New Mexico (0-9).
