Four Utah County teenagers are in trouble with the law for how they ordered a hamburger. Tuesday night four friends say they rapped their order at a McDonalds drive through, just like they'd seen in television ads and on youtube. The American Fork restaurant was not amused. An employee asked them to stop playing games. The driver, 18 year old Spencer Dauwalder says "we said we just did order so the song repeated and they said stop playing games and the manager came out and said we were acting like children and to order something or leave. " As the boys left they saw an employee write down their plate number. The teens continued on to their high school to watch a volleyball game and were met by police in the parking lot. Gage Christensen says "I was like it's a joke, the officer didn't need to take it this far it's not a big deal." American Fork police confirmed the teens were cited for being disorderly in public. An officer says that means they created public fear or a public scene and that continuing to rap when they were asked to repeat their order was enough to issue a citation. Spencer's mother, Sharon Dauwalder says "Who gives tickets to high school teenagers for rapping into a microphone at a McDonalds. Who does this! I just don't understand how or why it could have been blown out of proportion." Spencer Dauwalder is on the honor roll at Lone Peak High and is his city's youth mayor. He's the only one of the four teens that is 18 years old so he is facing a class C misdemeanor. The Dauwalder's say they'll be fighting it.
