SALT LAKE CITY -
There were 19 agencies, including the Salt Lake City Police, fire departments and the Utah Transit Authority involved in a terrorism drill Sunday morning. It was the largest training drill since the Olympics. "It's taken about a year to prepare for this. We've involved FEMA so this really is a large scale incident," Chief Chris Burbank said.
Dozens of volunteers pretended to be victims in the false drill. "I've done triage before like a system like this. It helps so much doing hands on experience and actually getting into a field you're applying your knowledge and skills," Hillary Grant said.
A debriefing of the incident will take place in a few weeks for police to discuss what they did right and what they can improve.
