Two Found Frozen to Death in South Salt Lake
SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah - South Salt Lake Police responded to Oxbow Park Thursday morning after receiving a report of the discovery of two dead bodies. The report came in at about 10:45 a.m. Police say the bodies were those of a Caucasian man and a Caucasian woman, possibly transients, who had frozen to death. The pair were dressed in many layers of clothing, and plastic bags containing some of their belongings were found near the bodies. The park is just north of the old Oxbow Jail on the east side of the Jordan River at 1100 East and 3300 South.

James Woolf, from the Road Home in Salt Lake City, says his heart sank after hearing about the two deaths. He says that all could have been prevented. The Road Home has an overflow shelter that is accepting families who don't have shelter from the elements.
