MIDVALE, Utah -
A privately employed apartment security guard helped capture two suspects accused of robbing a restaurant after hours Friday night in Midvale. Police said two suspects; Randy Clark and Leslie Campos allegedly forced an employee who was taking out the trash back inside the building by gun point. The suspects told the employees to get on the ground and demanded money from the safe before leaving.
Captain Chris Barney of Salt Lake Valley Protective Agency, was patrolling the grounds of the apartment complex, overheard what happened at the restaurant and had a suspicious feeling when he saw a parked car with foggy windows. Barney said, "I discovered that there were two people hiding in the back seat covered up with a blanket." Barney had them get out of the car placed them in handcuffs until more help arrived. Clark and Campos are both faced with aggravated robbery and are currently held in the Salt Lake County Jail.
