SALT LAKE CITY -
The late morning storm caught many drivers off guard Saturday. Vehicle slide-offs and accidents kept Utah High Patrol busy running from scene to scene. UHP officers said most mishaps were preventable if drivers had only slowed down during the storm. Moses Vega was driving from Salt Lake City to Nevada but decided it was better to be safe than sorry and pulled over in Tooele to wait out the storm. "It was definitely crazy. I seen cars overturned, going inside ditches, semi's swaying like crazy and people just not slowing down and wanting to hurry up to get places. It's just crazy, scary," Vega said.
