About 45 soldiers from the Utah Army National Guard's aviation battalion are leaving Utah for a year-long assignment in Iraq. The troops will deploy from the Utah Guard's Army Aviation Support Facility in West Jordan on Monday. Pilots and crews will leave in UH-60 helicopters bound for Fort Sill, Okla., where they will receive several weeks of training for their mission to transport personnel, equipment and supplies in the U.S. Central Command area of operations.
