SALT LAKE CITY -
The first load of humanitarian aid from Utah Haiti Relief arrived in Salt Lake City Wednesday from donations of the people of St. George and surrounding cities in Southern Utah. Donations are now being sorted and will be shipped to Haiti by Globus, a company in Salt Lake City specializing in medical supplies and equipment.
"I have a friend that lived down in St. George that was involved with Utah Haiti Relief," said Rob Cunningham of Globus. "They had so much product donated by people down there in St. George and Southern Utah and they had no way of getting it to Haiti. And that is what we specialize in. She called and asked me if we could help and I said sure."
