SALT LAKE CITY - Utahns had the chance to meet with lawmakers to discuss certain issues and concerns."We want them to learn about the legislative processes and learn about how easy it is for them to play a part in this and how important it is for people to have a voice at the Capitol," Community Action Partnership of Utah, Heather Tritten said.

Democracy Day has been a tradition for Utah for 30 year where lawmakers can meet and greet their constituents in the Capitol's rotunda. "Every time I get an email from a constituent, first of all I write to them and let them know that I received it and how grateful I am for their input but then I'll file it away with a particular bill and so that as I'm reading the bill and considering the bill, I can have their comments there with it," Senator Ben McAdams said.
