SALT LAKE CITY -
Utah economy experts report the state will hit rock bottom in the upcoming summer months. The monthly report of projected job loss shows job losses between 2008 to 2010 will be about 70,000. The manufacturing industry will take a great hit, losing 20,000 jobs. The construction industry is expected to lose 30,000 jobs. University of Utah economist, Director Jim Wood said 2009 is "the single worst year in Utah's post WWII economic history." Economists predict it will take about 18 to 24 months before there will be any economic growth or leveling out in the state's economy.
