Most sought after cocoa bean can now be found in Utah
The most sought after cocoa bean in the world can now be found in Utah. The chuao, plucked from the forests of Venezuela, is said to be the "crown jewel" of the chocolate world and an Orem chocolate maker has it. "It has a taste that ends up in our chocolate that will blow you away," said Clark Goble of Amano Artisan Chocolate.

For years, Italy held the exclusive rights to the bean, until farmers decided to release the Chuao to a few other chocolate makers. "We were having to contact farmers around the world. No one knew who were were, then we started winning awards. We actually won the London Academy of Chocolate Award," Goble said.

Co-owner Goble is the first in America to get his hands on the Chuao bean. "We're hoping to get as famous for the bar as the beans themselves are," Goble said. "This is literally renowned around the world for having the best beans. it's a coup for us to get these beans."

The bar of chocolate can be purchased at a price of $10.00 and it is considered a bargain for chocolate made with the Chuao bean.
