A Salt Lake County woman faces charges of 18 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in connection to an act of revenge against a teen. The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office says 37-year-old Danette Stark altered a photo to make it appear as though a 13-year-old girl was engaged in sexual acts with a dog. They say she then made several copies of the image and distributed them at the juvenile's school. Stark is now in the Salt Lake County Jail facing 18 felony charges.

The posters were first found in the girls' bathroom at Northwest Middle School back in May, according to police. The bottom of the fliers contained words like "slut" and "whore."

Prosecutors say the posters are child pornography.

Salt Lake District Attorney Lohra Miller called a press conference Friday afternoon to address the posters.

"18-counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. This is, by any measure, outrageous conduct for any person, much less a 37-year-old woman on a 13-year-old girl," said Miller.

Most of the questions about the case against Stark were off limits, including whether or not the alleged victim had seen the posters.

"I'm not going to speculate to that," said Miller.

Miller also said she was not going to speculate on a motive in the case.

The last part of the charging document says Stark admitted that she made the flyers at work after finding the pornographic material online. She also confessed to placing the posters in the school bathroom and told police she created and distributed the flyers to retaliate for perceived wrongdoings by a classmate of Stark's daughter.

Stark is now in the Salt Lake County Jail on a $50,000 bond. She is due to be arraigned Monday morning on 18 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
