TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – A holiday food drive was held Saturday to remember and celebrate the life of a man killed four years ago.

Matthew Maxwell was stabbed to death in his apartment in 2008. Police say his accused killer Medel Tenegueno is still on the run.

For the last two years, Matthew’s family has held a food drive to keep his story alive.

“We think about him every day but this time of year is really hard for us and I think this is maybe our way of helping with some of that pain,” said Kathy Delis, Matthew’s mother.

Last year, they collected 4,000 pounds of food. His family hopes that, through Matthew and his memory, they can do some good in the community.
