SALT LAKE CITY — Family members say a 24-year-old Utah woman has passed away from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to a GoFundMe page setup for funeral costs, Silvia Deyanira Melendez died Saturday after contracting the virus.
The Salt Lake Tribune spoke to members of her family, who say five total people in their household were also infected. Click here to read the Tribune's full report.
Melendez's death, along with that of Bob Garff, were not included in Sunday's numbers from the Utah Department of Health.
