SALT LAKE CITY — Dozens of police cars rolled through the drive up window of El Asadero restaurant in Salt Lake City Tuesday afternoon.
There wasn’t a disturbance. Just a small drive through party for police officers this Cinco de Mayo.
Fox 13 and our Dream Team partners Mountain America Credit Union and Woodside Homes ordered lunch for every officer who could come by, and were on hand to wave hello and goodbye as a mariachi band played.
During the event a handful of gift cards were also hidden inside some of the take-out meals. We’ve since learned that officers who received them have been donating the cards to others in need.
