269 new cases, 5 new deaths in latest COVID-19 numbers from Utah Department of Health

The Utah Department of Health has released the latest COVID-19 numbers statewide.

There are now 9,533 lab-confirmed cases across the state. That’s 269 new cases since Friday. Overall, approximately 5,995 of those cases are considered to be recovered, meaning there are roughly 3,538 active cases in Utah.

Approximately 210,105 have been tested for COVID-19 in Utah. That number includes the 4,250 tests reported since Friday.

10 new hospitalizations have been reported. Since March, 763 have been hospitalized in connection to the virus. There are 99 people who are currently hospitalized in connection to the virus.

5 new deaths have been reported since Friday, bringing the statewide fatality rate to 112 people.

The Utah Department of Health is not expected to hold a press conference today regarding these new numbers.
