Daily COVID-19 cases drop slightly, no new deaths reported on Sunday

Sunday's COVID-19 numbers from the Utah Department of Health show the first drop below 1,000 new cases since Friday.

920 new cases were reported, bringing the statewide total to 63,722 since March.

Approximately 51,410 of those cases are considered recovered.

6,215 people were tested since Saturday's report. 758,165 people have now been tested in Utah.

The seven-day rolling average of positive tests is now 835 per day, or approximately 13.1% of those tested.

141 people are currently hospitalized in connection to COVID-19. 3,494 people have been hospitalized with the virus since March.

No new deaths have been reported. Utah's fatality rate remains at 440.
