Four new COVID-19 deaths reported in Utah and 86 new cases

SALT LAKE CITY — Four new COVID-19 deaths were reported Wednesday by the Utah Department of Health. A total of 105 Utahns have died since the coronavirus outbreak.

There were 86 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported since Tuesday. That's a growth rate of 1.0 percent and brings the total number of cases in Utah to 8,706.

20 new hospitalizations were required. There are currently 96 COVID-19 positive patients being treated and there has been a total of 711 hospitalizations in Utah.

A total of 200,626 Utahns have now been tested for COVID-19. That's up 2,034 from Tuesday and the positive percentage rate of those tests is 4.3 percent.
