No new COVID-19 deaths reported Monday, 146 new confirmed cases

SALT LAKE CITY — No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported Monday by the Utah Dept. of Health. The number of deaths remained at 80.

146 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported, bringing the total of cases in Utah to 7,384. That's a 2 percent increase from the weekend.

Nine new hospitalizations were required and 98 COVID-19 positive people are currently hospitalized. There have been a total of 595 hospitalizations since the outbreak began.

A total of 174,022 Utahns have been tested for the virus, with 3,270 new tests reported. The positive percentage rate remains at 4.2 percent where it has remained steady for several days.
