The Utah Department of Health released updated COVID-19 numbers for the state as of Saturday afternoon.
There are now 1,428 lab-confirmed cases. Just over 28,000 people have been tested, and there are 117 hospitalizations in relation to the virus.
An additional death was confirmed, bringing the statewide total to 8.
