Women are incredibly underrepresented in STEM fields and the American Heart Association wants to help change that.

STEM is going RED on Friday, February 28th to educate high school girls about some of Utah`s leading science, technology, and engineering companies.

Consider these facts:
• Only 3 out of 100 female bachelor students continue to work in STEM fields after graduating.
• Currently women occupy 47% of all US jobs but only 24% of jobs in STEM related fields.
• Women with STEM jobs earn up to 35% more than comparable women in non-STEM jobs, and 40% higher than men with non-STEM jobs.

If you are a high school female and would like to join the event is FREE and you can register by calling 801-702-4436.
