The Utah Department of Health has updated this weekend’s numbers of lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
As of Sunday, there are now 2,303 confirmed cases state-wide. That’s an increase of 97 from Saturday’s total of 2,206.
Approximately 44,234 people have been tested in the state, up from an estimated 42,546 on Saturday.
195 people have been hospitalized as a result of the virus. There were 190 hospitalizations as of Saturday afternoon. UDOH also notes this count does not represent the number of COVID-19 cases currently in the hospital. Data is collected from patient interviews and medical chart abstractions by local health departments.
The number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state remains at 18.
