There are reports of flooding in areas of Cache Valley. It is the result of warming temperatures and the ground can't absorb the water.
Several homes in the Wellsville area have been impacted. There is also flooding over some of roadways near Hyrum and Wellsville.
“Right now I think the prognosis is that it is getting better and we'll be able to get through this fairly quickly and in good fashion,” said Brad Slater, Cache County Chief Deputy.
Authorities started getting phone calls for assistance at 4:30 a.m., according to Slater. There has been property damage but no injuries.
Sand and sandbags are available at the county road shop and Wellsville City Office.
The Cache County Sheriff's Office issued the following as part of a status update onFacebook, “PLEASE: Drive cautiously and avoid flooded streets as your vehicle may stall out while driving through flooded areas.”
