In a statement issued Wednesday on the Powell family’s behalf, Josh Powell’s aunt and uncle say they blame the legal system for Josh’s trouble.
An excerpt from the statement released by Josh Powell’s aunt and uncle, Maurice and Patti Leach, says:
We felt that Josh represented himself using a great deal of restraint with patience and dignity at his children’s custody hearing … because of the fear of losing his sons and the love he had for all of his family members that he so desperately tried to protect.
