Here in Utah the seasonal snowfall is measured from Oct. 1 through April 1. This season is one for the record books. The final numbers won’t be in until the end of the weekend, but in Salt Lake City we’ve only had a little over 23 inches of snow. Our average is about 62 inches! That makes 2011-12 the fourth lowest seasonal snowfall on record. The least amount of snow ever recorded in Salt Lake was 16.6 inches back in 1983-84.
