The Utah State Office of Education has made a $25 million error.

The state office underestimated the number of students expected in Utah’s schools next year, leading to a funding mistake.

Recalculations put the new number at $25 million more than they’d anticipated. State leaders insist they don’t expect the error to be felt by schools or school districts.

Two top education finance officials have submitted their resignations as a result.
